Densify to Amplify

At MOF Technologies we have developed patented technology to produce bespoke shaped MOFs to meet the needs of our customer’s application.


Our shaping technology allows us to tailor the physical properties of MOFs and supply them in various shapes and sizes, a key enabler for their commercial use. We have now created denser, porous forms that will let you to store more gas with less material.


In a recent development program, one of our partners needed a MOF that could store more gas than any other adsorbent on the market. Firstly, we used our MOF know-how to identify and test suitable MOFs for their application. Upon demonstrating its superior gravimetric uptake, we needed to achieve equivalent volumetric capacity.


To achieve this, we utilised our expertise in MOF synthesis and adsorbent shaping to develop a New Densified MOF material with:


  • A 2.5X INCREASE IN DENSITY

  • HIGH POROSITY

  • MECHANICAL ROBUSTNESS


Using our state-of-the-art adsorption suite, we benchmarked the performance of our densified MOF against its powdered equivalent and demonstrated:


SUPERIOR CAPACITY – WITH 80% MORE GAS STORED.
