Performance Engineer 

MOF Technologies is a vibrant Cleantech business that has developed an exciting next-generation carbon capture system; Nuada.

 

Having secured partnerships with leading cement manufacturers, we are scaling our technology; building infield pilots, and showcasing the exciting potential of our ultra-energy efficient capture system to help decarbonise many hard-to-abate industries, turbocharging our pathway to Net-Zero.

for a talented engineer passionate about working on innovative solutions to tackle the climate emergency.  Join our team and help us capture the future. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Performance Manager to understand testing requirements and align on specific project objectives.

  • Conduct detailed experimental planning to realise technical objectives of key test projects.

  • Conduct gas adsorption testing using MOF technologies’ state of the art dynamic gas breakthrough, PSA, and isotherm rigs.

  • Perform data analysis and interpret test results to define the next steps.

  • Present results to management (written and orally) in an effective and engaging manner.

  • Work with the Performance Manager to expand key testing capabilities.

  • Engage with and manage relevant third-party contractors/suppliers.

  • Help construct, commission, and demonstrate new equipment in a timely manner.

Requirements: 

  • Master’s degree in chemical engineering or chemistry.

  • Experience (industrially & or academically) in gas phase adsorption or reaction kinetics.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks, drive several different projects at the same time.

  • Knowledge of good safety practices in a lab/workshop environment.  

  • Outstanding verbal and written skills, and experience working with staff on all levels.

  • Experience in using techniques for measuring gas adsorption including mass spectrometry and gas chromatography.

  • Knowledgeable in the preparation and handling of solid catalysts or MOFs.

  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • An innovative, self-starter with eagerness to drive and grow as the company develops   

  • “Can do” and proactive approach to work, inquisitive and a problem solver 

  • Must be able to work with multiple and diverse stakeholders.
